An arrangement of several different depictions of a bicycle designed by Joel Mertz. The images are colorful and abstract at times.

The objective for this project was to draw a single subject 100 times. Since there are literally thousands of them in Eugene, Oregon, I chose a bicycle for my focus. These bicycles eventually became collections of circles, lines and colors that could be rearranged endlessly. Out of the final 100 compositions, there were some compositions that were clearly more successful than others. It was a memorable exercise to have gotten to explore one subject so thoroughly.
