Spiedini Ristorante is Gustav Mauler’s signature restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Located inside the beautiful JW Marriott, this restaurant is known for its delectable Italian food, private dining experiences and exceptional service. As a certified master chef, Gustav Mauler expects perfection in every aspect of his business. Spiedini Ristorante’s website was no exception. For the design, I wanted to capture the essence of Gustav’s restaurant, but I also knew that providing an intuitive user experience was equally paramount. The finished website combines multiple technologies with a dark, stylish esthetic.

Animated fire buttons created using Adobe After Effects and Flash, welcome visitors and provide easy access to the most popular areas of the site. Alternative content displays for mobile iOS users and those who do not have the Flash plugin installed. Other notable items include a collapsable menu and responsive footer at the bottom of every page. Select recipes from Gustav Mauler are easy to print with dedicated stylesheets, and a simple reservation system developed from PHP ensures that customers will be seated on time.
